Product Engineer – Automotive Soft Trim

Pontiac, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national automotive, tier-one supplier. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Product Engineer – Soft Trim.

What you will do: The Product Engineer – Soft Trim leads/manages the daily activities of assigned engineering projects, leads the design and development of new products within schedule and budget parameters, and organizes/leads cross-functional seat trim reviews. The role plans and develops experimental test programs, evaluating the results. The position issues drawings, specifications, BOMs (header cards), provides change and release coordination, and proactively identifies/resolves engineering and manufacturing related issues. Additionally, the Product Engineer – Soft Trim resolves technical and manufacturing issues and assists customers in resolution of field issues.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Current experience in product engineering. Soft trim experience, preferably with automotive interior trim products.
