Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier whose products are in 25% of of all vehicles on the road. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Product Release Engineer.
What you will do: The Product Engineer assures total support and management of the program within the functional area and observes all policies and procedures for that functional area to participate in the continuous improvement of systems and processes. The role updates product definition whenever program definition changes, develops the DFMEA, DFM/A and other engineering disciplines if specified by the customer, and develops DVP&R, obtaining customer approval, and initiating all laboratory, bench and simulated product tests in compliance with the DVP&R and for supporting customers in vehicle tests on window regulator systems. The position ensures that the product design complies with all product requirements and FMVSS/CMVSS requirements, ensures that the product meets all engineering objectives/targets, and organizes and develops feasibility designs and engineering requirements for entire overhead systems. Additionally, the Product Release Engineer champions, supports and participates in design and engineering reviews and creates and maintains a master section package for the overhead system.
What you need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in automotive engineering with a preference toward interiors. Experience working with Honda as a tier-one supplier, engineering function. Bilingual in Japanese or Korean is a plus. Regulatory systems experience preferred.
