Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a global Tier 1 automotive supplier responsible for designing and manufacturing systems for gasoline and diesel engines for customers around the world. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Product Development Engineer.
What you will do: The Product Development Engineer leads internal and external design activities from design concept through post launch, is responsible for material selection and specifications with an emphases on metrology (stainless steels), and for manufacturing and process considerations for assembly and welding. The position procures prototypes, manages DVPR (design validation and support), and uses appropriate application of GD&T(geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) for exhaust systems. The role also manages EDD (employment development depart) budget generation and justification, including support cross functional initiatives between the customer, supplier, manufacturing and purchasing.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Tier-1 industries. Knowledge of the automotive industry. Fundamental understanding of both emissions and tuning devices and their associated components.
