Product Development Engineer - Automotive

Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Product Engineer

What you will do: The Product Engineer is responsible for updating product definitions when changes occur, developing DFMEA, DFM/A, and other engineering disciplines, obtaining customer approvals, and initiating all product tests in compliance with the DVP&R. The role ensures that the product design complies with all product requirements and FMVSS/CMVSS requirements, ensures that the product meets all engineering objectives, and works directly with engineering design and drafting to ensure all parameters, needs, and customer requirements are being met in a timely fashion. The position represents all engineering concerns at project team meetings, utilizes and applies GD&T, is responsible for design verification and product validation, and directs test lab to evaluate and test design developments. Additionally, the Product Engineer interfaces with customers to ensure needs are being met, reviews product designs for compliance, coordinates engineering changes, and prepares project completion reports.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with product development processes.
