Wilmington, NC – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading manufacturing company that supplies to several OEM’s. Due to their growth, they have a newly created role for a Product Development Engineer for their facility located Northwest of Wilmington, NC.
What you will do: The Product Development role is responsible for complete product development for in a fast pace environment. This position will be customer facing working coordinating cost estimates and executing on product deliverable. This role will rely heavily on drafting and 3D modeling for both mechanical equipment and fixture design. As well, this role ensures effective tooling design and participates in production throughput improvement to support cycle time reduction. This role will be 50% computer/desk/drafting and 50% manufacturing/floor/equipment.
What you will need: BS in Mechanical or Materials Engineering. Current experience in product development from conception through roll out for a build to order engineered product/component. Experience in a regulated industry would be highly preferred.
