Blacksburg, Virginia- Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading supplier of industrial robots, modular manufacturing systems and service. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Product Development Engineer, west of Blacksburg.
What you will do: The Product Development Engineer applies state-of-the-art design methods, calculations and prudent engineering practices in order to efficiently develop initiatives related to product change and/or new products. The role engages in product and process improvement projects, works with global colleagues to define and implement best design practices and common tools, and works closely with team members from all algorithms and test data are thoroughly documented.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in product development. Experience designing dry-type transformers. Strong understanding of applicable transformer and industry. Formal education in Value Engineering and Design for Manufacture practices. Experience with mechanical and electrical simulations. Strong experience developing/designing variable frequency drives. CAD experience.
