Product Compliance Electronic Engineer

San Bernadino, California – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a global, electronics company to identity a Product Compliance Engineer for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Product Compliance Engineer assists and advises business units by implementing global regulatory requirements on product compliance. The role researches/communicates the impact of global product compliance regulations, advises engineering, sales and management regarding regulatory and product compliance requirements, and partners with product line managers and staff to implement programs to comply with regulatory requirements including document maintenance. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to strategize and develop action plans and solutions for compliance issues, determines deficiencies in adherence to standards and regulations to formulate corrective action plans, and reviews/approves internal documentation. Additionally, the Product Compliance Engineer works in conjunction with product lines, supply chain management, and strategic purchasing operations to obtain regulatory information from suppliers as part of due diligence and data gathering for backup documentation for generation of internal documents.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science. Current experience in automotive engineering. Experience with regulatory requirements, BOM documentation, component materials, and compliance documents. Knowledge of global product compliance regulations (e.g. RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, ELV, JIG, Prop 65 etc.).
