Process Technician - Reliability

Rockford, Illinois – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a multi-national pharmaceutical company that is stable, growing and extremely profitable. This growth has opened a position for a Process Reliability Technician.

What you will do: The Process Reliability Technician supports the packaging lines by responding to questions or issues, provides training on the functioning of the line, runs adjustments, performs equipment repairs, and replaces equipment. The position repairs problems on the packaging lines by reviewing reports, discusses issues with the line lead, and performs changeovers by obtaining setup jacket, removing old tooling and installing new tooling on the machine. The role ensures product changeovers have been set up correctly by performing challenges, evaluating products against customer and batch record requirements, while also collaborating with operations to improve overall process performance by recommending and executing modifications to machinery and equipment layout. Additionally, the Process Reliability Technician performs preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment by visually inspecting parts, cleaning parts and equipment, replacing parts and lubricants, and completing required documentation, while also providing guidance to others by responding to questions, observing work activity, giving direction when necessary, and providing on-the-job training.

What you will need: Technical/trade School degree. Experience in machining, automation, machine set-up, field service repair, or related field. TABE testing. Knowledge of electrical devices in AC/DC control circuits. Knowledge of the equipment used to rest machine calibrations and the parameters necessary to receive calibration certifications. Knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical defects at the component level (e.g., transformers, relays, controllers). Knowledge of the basic principles of electricity, wiring, conduit and controls, motors and breakers, and high-low voltage systems. Knowledge of and the ability to use grinding machines, including surface grinders and bench grinders. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, lines, and connections. This includes the ability to use this knowledge for maintenance and repair activities and adhere to safety procedures related to hydraulic systems. Knowledge of and the ability to use sheet metal tools, including sheet metal shears and benders. Ability to weld material together, including the knowledge of how type of metal impacts the weld, and the necessary safety equipment when welding.
