Process Manager - Additive Manufacturing

Charlotte, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a specialty material and component manufacturing company to highlight candidates to fill their newly created Process Manager – Additive Manufacturing position, southeast of Charlotte.

What you will do: The Process Manager – Additive Manufacturing implements new production processes for additive manufacturing materials and technology. The role manages the transition of fundamental research and development work into standard production processes, leads business process development, transformation, and change management in a dynamic growing technology, and works closely with research and development engineers/customers to identify needs and create new programs addressing business opportunities. The position builds/leads cross-functional teams of subject matter experts that integrate new manufacturing processes into the existing or developing supply chain and identifies new roles and responsibilities to support growing operations, specifically needs in production, design, and quality. Additionally, the Process Manager – Additive Manufacturing supports manufacturing process improvements that result in better product quality and lower manufacturing costs and communicates progress updates to management, colleagues, and customers in the form of written reports and oral presentations.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Industrial experience implementing new processes, designs, manufacturing, or research and development. Project management experience implementing technical processes into operations. R&D experience. Customer interface experience. Materials, powder coating, or metallurgy experience is a plus. Experience in additive manufacturing is a plus. Ability to travel up to 25%.
