Process Engineering Manager-Glass

Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier of architectural and consumer glass products. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a process engineering manager over their glass facility .

What you will do: The HEAT Manager – Americas is responsible for the development of regional hot end capability and for measurable increases in the float lines productivity, improved regional asset reliability, and people development. The role provides leadership and planning for furnace and tin bath rebuilds and repairs, performs furnace and tin bath audits and provides recommendations for maximizing performance. The position provides support to plants on melting, forming, annealing, and cutting of glass, drives continuous improvement, and identifies/facilitates creation of best practices for maintenance and operations of float assets. Additionally, the HEAT Manager – Americas facilitates regional knowledge sharing, troubleshoots float quality problems, and leads a team of individuals to drive performance in the region.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in glass manufacturing, engineering with significant experience leading rebuilds, repairs of glass furnaces. Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians. Experience with problem-solving tools, quality tools, Six Sigma and LEAN. Ability to travel extensively.
