Process Engineer - Injection Technologies

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Engineer defines/implements the injection processes for projects in development, develops injection culture within Industrial and Development Departments, and deploys the design to manufacture. The role transfers the injection process and the know-how to the production plants, continuously improves the efficiency and department skills, and manages the design and the adaptations of the injection process, tooling and equipment to set up in the plants. The position participates in the product design during Phases 1, 2 and 3 for optimization in manufacturing and function, defines injection process, the capacitary means and their tools, and adapts resources and organization to optimize costs and level the workload. Additionally, the Process Engineer develops training modules for the industrial department and for factories, ensures technology survey, and assists costing department during RFQ phase.

What you will need: BBachelors Degree in Engineering. Current experience in process engineering. Experience with design engineering. Technical knowledge in injection process and technologies (sequential injection). Knowledge in the injection raw materials especially thermo-plastics (PE, PP, PA, etc.). Mechanical engineering skills for injection tooling. Automotive experience, especially in mid-size automotive parts (tanks, door panels, etc.).
