Process Engineer - Injection Molding

Spartanburg, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Engineer develops and writes equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals for integrating molding machinery and equipment such as robots, robot controllers, and programmable controllers into manufacturing process. The role tests the ability of machines, such as robots, to perform tasks, develops operating procedures and resolves system malfunctions, while also determining parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed condition. The position develops alternative processing methods for the continuous improvement of quality and manufacturing standards leading to cost reductions, leads all external and internal engineering changes, and develops and conducts robot and related equipment training programs. Additionally, the Process Engineer develops standardized manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.), oversees and supports injection molding machines, controls Bill of Materials accuracy, and engages in equipment calibration and maintenance.

What you will need: Current plastic injection molding experience. Motivation to learn new processes and technologies. Automotive experience preferred.
