Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of architectural and consumer glass products. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Regional HEAT Process Engineer.
What you will do: The Regional HEAT Process Engineer is responsible for the development of regional hot end capability and for measurable increases in the float lines productivity, improved regional asset reliability, and people development. The role performs furnace and tin bath audits and provides recommendations for maximizing performance, while also providing support to plants on melting, forming, annealing, and cutting of glass. The position drives continuous improvement, identifies/facilitates creation of best practices for maintenance and operations of float assets, and facilitates regional knowledge sharing. Additionally, the Regional HEAT Process Engineer troubleshoots float quality problems and leads a team of individuals to drive performance in the region.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Experience in float glass manufacturing, engineering, with experience in rebuilds, repairs, transitions. Experience leading operators and technicians. Experience with problem-solving tools, quality tools, Six Sigma and LEAN.
