Process Engineer

Danville, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com    is working with a growing, diversified, publicly traded 40-year-old company that is a leading supplier to the commercial automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Engineer evaluates existing processes and configures manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process. The role works with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process, creates machine specifications and measuring definitions for defined or new processes, and supports negotiations with purchasing department. The position sources, quotes, installs, debugs, conducts, and manages pre/final acceptance protocols for new products/equipment, establishes/maintains project schedules/timelines to meet customer milestones and supplier timing, and provides support/guidance to department, coordinating their support, interaction and service with the operational areas. Additionally, the Process Engineer improves on processes in manufacturing systems, creates, presents, and demonstrates results in reports, and removes roadblocks in the implementation of new programs and systems in cooperation with the Manufacturing Departments.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Current experience in process engineering within the automotive industry. Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP software. German language skills are a plus.
