Process Engineer

Orland Park, Illinois – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a large supplier in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for a Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Engineer develops/assists in the development of the lowest cost, highest quality processes. The role investigates process problems, formulates and implements solutions to improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the company, initiates process improvements and process improvement programs, and develops/performs capability studies for processes and equipment. The position partners with the plant to develop efficient plant/process layouts, develops standard operating procedures for all processes, and determines optimum process conditions for new and existing processes. Additionally, the Process Engineer visits suppliers and customers as required for analysis and solution implementation, supports the whole Product and Corporate Engineering teams as a local representative at the plant, and provides technical lead on cost down opportunities.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Engineering. Current experience in process engineering in the automotive industry, preferably Japanese. Experience with acoustic products or interior trim products is a plus. Experience with equipment including Allen Bradley PLCs and robotics. Experience in developing work standards, process standards and participating in new product/program launches. Ability to travel up to 50%.
