Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a 10,000 employee tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Process Engineer.
What you will do: The Manufacturing Process Engineer manages manufacturing programs, budgets, line layouts, development of equipment specifications, equipment purchase and validation, maintains supplier project/program management and timelines, and coordinates trial runs and RFQ’s. The role develops capacity plans, MTM analysis and routing calculation and is responsible for the modification of assembly lines for new programs (manual, semi-automated and some automated).
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in automotive manufacturing. Experience in manufacturing engineering/process planning/process development and/or process improvements. Experience working out the on plant floor. Knowledge of production operations, machine issues and plant operations. High volume manufacturing experience. Heat Exchanger and/or exposure to working with aluminum is a plus. Basic knowledge of APQP disciplines, PFMEA, process flows, control plans, machine design, man-time-machine studies (MTM). Knowledge of controls or PLC programming is a plus.
