Process Engineer

Smallwood, South Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com     is working with a manufacturing of electronic components that supplies to the automotive, industrial, medical, military and aerospace industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Engineer defines/establishes consistent, documented processes to drive standard work practices, supports timely implementation of process changes related to capital improvement projects, and participates in special projects. The position sets expectations of product performance and characteristics, drives process control improvements and reduces process variation through the application of six sigma tools, while also providing engineering support for the startup of new equipment and processes. The position prepares process guidelines and procedures for new equipment, products and processes, evaluates new materials such as copper, resins, solvents, chemicals and fiberglass, and works with supply chain, quality control and technology functions to improve supplier performance. Additionally, the Process Engineer is responsible for hands on process troubleshooting when processes are not performing to expectation, for providing input concerning capital equipment and process upgrades, and for participating in lean events (Kaizen) and operator training.

What you will need: BS in Chemical Engineering. Six Sigma certification. Current experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
