Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier of automotive products and due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Cost Engineer – PCB.
What you will do: The Cost Estimator – PCB prepares cost estimates for electronic components/PCB’s and focuses on material costs and process routings as well as tooling. The role review srequest for quote (RFQ) packages, including CAD data, Gerber files, STP files, drawings, bills of materials (BOM’s), and product specifications and reviews component BOM’s. The position develops manufacturing routings for electronic assemblies/PCB’s, prepares cost estimates for electronic assemblies/PCB’s from the BOM and process routing using standardized cost models and reviews external supplier quotes for electronic assemblies/PCB’s to confirm reasonableness. Additionally, the Cost Estimator – PCB works with advanced engineering to prepare quick turnaround engineering estimates.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in cost estimation. Experience with electronics, especially PCBs. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
