Powertrain Simulation Engineer

Romulus, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national supplier to the tier-one automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Vehicle Dynamics Lead.

What you will do: The Vehicle Dynamics Lead performs vehicle dynamics and chassis simulations using industry-leading software, assesses results with respect to ride, handling and durability, and creates new simulation tools and environments by combining off-the-shelf tools such as MATLAB, Simulink and CarSim. The role supports vehicle dynamics testing, including test data analysis and interpretation, presents results and recommended solutions to customers, and supports design solutions for concept and production intent chassis systems. Additionally, the position supports sales team with the development of presentations to perspective customers and writing of proposals.

What you will need: BSME. Knowledge of vehicle systems including suspension, powertrain, etc. Experience using MATLAB/Simulink, CarSim/TruckSim and/or ADAMS. Background in vehicle dynamics development and/or testing. Knowledge of chassis control systems (i.e., stability control and active suspension).
