Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a General Contractor – Power Generation/UPS.
What you will do: The General Contractor – Power Generation/UPS manages/directs all product development activities, product development budgets, participating in establishing strategic product development needs, providing support for applications/standards issues and directing and administering the career development of direct reports. The role drives strategic programs and directly supervises the activities of reporting engineers, technicians, and external resources, while also developing and maintaining detailed project schedules incorporating resource management, milestone deliverables, and administration of processes for new product development activities. The position takes overall management responsibility for all product line development projects, including coordination with all supporting functions including, but not limited to, applications, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, IT, sales, and marketing, while also coordinating/managing local activities as part of a global product development team while representing region on the global team with technical leadership. Additionally, the General Contractor – Power Generation/UPS provides technical and application assistance to field sales, assists in the resolution of quality and engineering errors, and takes responsibility for developing, maintaining and managing departmental and program spending budgets.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering. Current experience in operations management. GC/EC (general contractor or electrical contractor) experience. Experience with generators and switchgear. Experience with powe generation and UPS (uninterruptable power supply). Experience in industrial, data center, healthcare, or power plants.
