PLC Controls Engineer

Jackson, Tennessee  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading Tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Process Controls Engineer.

What you will do: The Process Controls Engineer develops and assists in the development of the lowest cost, highest quality process for products at the facility. The role investigates, implements, and maintains controls technology for new and current processes, investigates process problems, and formulates and implements solutions to improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the company. The position initiates process improvements and process improvement programs, develops/performs capability studies for processes and equipment, develops efficient plant/ process layouts, and develops standard operating procedures for all processes. Additionally, the Process Controls Engineer visits suppliers and customers as required for analysis and solution implementation and determines optimum process conditions for new and existing processes.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, with current experience in controls engineering. Experience in an automotive manufacturing plant. PLC Programming – Allen Bradley preferred, WonderWare a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with machine automation in a manufacturing environment. Robotic programming FANUC. Experience with Servo drives and HMI integration.
