PLC Commission Engineer

Charleston, South Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national manufacturer of industrial machines to highlight candidates to fill their newly created Commission Engineer role.

What you will do: The Commission Engineer is responsible for installation and commissioning of equipment, hardware, and software to customer specifications at the site of manufacture and customer. The role is a field support position reporting to the Service Manager that provides commissioning for projects and products, conducts equipment start-up and debug, and verifies hardwired installation. The position debugs controls hardware and software, records baseline data, marks up drawing changes, oversees project performance and data collection, and assembles, debugs and adjusts the electronic and electro-mechanical portion of machines during the assembly process. Additionally, the Commission Engineer forecasts project schedule, produces daily site reports, provides standby and customer support, provides training on products to customer representatives, and assists with installation supervision as needed.

What you will need: Associate degree in Electrical Technology. BSEE or BSME is preferred. Current experience in commissioning. Experience in an automotive, machine tool manufacturing environment. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens S7 PLC, and C+. Control Panel building abilities. Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic skills in machine tooling/test equipment. Ability to travel up to 90%.
