Worcester, Massachusetts – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leading automotive supplier. Their products represent some of the most advanced, innovative and safest in the industry. Due to their growth, they have newly created position for a Plant Senior Buyer.
What you will do: The Plant Senior Buyer develops strong strategic alliances with vendors, manages aspects of strategic sourcing for the plant, and finds the best vendor selection/pricing/terms to maximize profits. The position is the primary plant contact for managing relationships with outside vendor base, helps select vendors based on quote information and knowledge of vendor’s abilities to produce products to meet automotive expectations, and negotiates prices and payment terms. The role is responsible for the monthly spend, savings and inflation reporting, budget planning, and providing volume forecast and sourcing pipeline. Additionally, the appointment develops the purchasing team, reviews quarterly presentations, and directs material savings.
What you will need: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline. Current experience in Purchasing/Sourcing/Manufacturing. Experience in injection molding a plus. Automotive experience desired.
