Composites Engineer – Polypropolene

Plymouth, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an international supplier of products to the industrial, automotive, aerospace, and commercial industries. Due to their recent growth, they have opened a position for a Plastics and Composites Engineer – Polypropolene.

What you will do: The Plastics and Composites Engineer – Polypropolene supports the development of the integrated power brake center of competence (iPB CoC) reservoir design team in North America. The role develops detailed requirements for iPB reservoirs, supports global programs with reservoir design, and develops state of the art design and analysis tools for polypropylene reservoirs. The position develops global design guidelines for iPB reservoirs, maintains alignment between regions in the design of iPB reservoirs, and ensures compliance to all government regulations for iPB reservoirs. Additionally, the Plastics and Composites Engineer coordinates with the platform development team that all system performance requirements are met, ensures all customer specific requirements are met and are consistent with design guidelines, and works closely with regional customer applications to meet project performance requirements for reservoir.

What you will need: Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Experience in the design and development of polypropylene pressure vessels. Experience with FEA tools or equivalent. Ability to work in Catia V5 or NX. Knowledge of polypropylene molding and material properties. Related experience within automotive power braking systems. German language skills a plus.
