Plant Supply Chain Manager

Greencastle, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international manufacturer. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Supply Chain Manager.

What you will do: The Supply Chain Manager plans and controls the supply chain activities, including customer demand management, inventory management, production and material planning and supplier scheduling. The primary focus for this position is the continuous improvement of material and information flow, and on the efficient utilization of available capacities and resources, in order to enhance material flow, minimize inventory and meet customer requirements. The conceptual responsibilities of this post include not only development and communication of a comprehensive vision for Supply Chain and of the CI plan in the plant, but also syncing with global and regional strategic objectives and policies and consideration of strategic targets. This role will involve key processes, organizational structure and inventory strategy, and also successful practice sharing/collaboration with other plants in order to improve supply chain processes and employment of key figures/measurements for the controlling of efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes. The technical responsibilities of this position vary from the demands of customer supply, meaning, ensuring delivery of customer requirements within the agreed time-frame and in the right quantity considering economic utilization of available resources (staff, materials, machines, operational and planning/scheduling direct material and subcontracted services to the demands of supply chain planning, including assisting in translating and improving the required and available capacity, of required resources/production layouts/material flows with special regard to increased flexibility/cycle time reduction and inventory optimization. Lastly, the Supply Chain Manager assists in the management of overdue accounts receivable, develops action planning together with Production and Quality Management in order to ensure delivery on schedule, and ensures robust cycle counting and physical inventory control processes.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree with quantifiable supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment. Current responsibility over the complete supply chain for a high volume manufacturing facility.
