Plant Manager

Des Moines, Iowa – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world class supplier of products to a myriad of industries within manufacturing. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Plant Manager.

What you will do: The Plant Manager develops an overall plan of production to support steady growth in implementing the company’s vision for the future. The position interprets company policies to workers, enforces safety regulations, and conducts accident investigations, facilitating appropriate countermeasures.The role develops and monitors plant budget and plant P&L, supports the new product development process, and studies production schedules and forecasts to develop resource planning, while also establishing work procedures to meet production schedules. Additionally, the Plant Manager implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew, confers with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments, and reacts to business indicator trends, adjusting operation plans accordingly.  In the last 5 years  our client has earned 20 percent top-line growth.  This company has achieved ISO/TS 16949:2009 certification for automotive quality management,  implementation of 6S continuous improvement programs.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Strong experience in production, with automotive culture and a high volume product line. Current experience in a manufacturing management role.  Lean experience is a must.  Injection molding experience.
