Binghamton, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leader in metal products. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Plant Manager.
What you will do: The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall manufacturing organization, manufacturing support, process improvement, quality, and direct P&L, and is accountable for all operational programs and expenditures to ensure maximum operational results to support the business plan and compliance with all legal requirements. The role develops and drives continuous improvement, plans, develops and implements operational policies and goals, while also being responsible for efficiency, quality and operational improvement programs with accountability for safety, spoilage, costs, labor absorption, and support of strategic customer initiatives and projects. The position is a key customer contact, maintaining strong relationships, forecasting demands, resolving problem areas and ensuring technical and quality support, while also managing budgets and plant changes and directly supervising personnel.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Experience in senior manufacturing management experience with direct profit and loss responsibility in a large, high volume manufacturing facility. Experience in a self-directed work force. Experience with high volume plastics and packaging. Experience with manufacturing improvement methods implementation. Proven experience in budget management, driving efficiencies and cost reduction.
