Plant Electrician

Crossville, TN – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com  is working with an engineered stone and ceramics manufacturer that services the construction & architectural industry for both residential and commercial markets.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an industrial plant electrician.

What you will do:   The Electrician inspects, installs, repairs, adjusts, constructs, modifies, calibrates, programs and wires electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltages in the plant or assigned area. The role diagnoses, corrects and repairs process electrical problems, process control issues and electrical systems in a  heavy industrial environment, works with electronic system controls and circuits, and assists mechanical maintenance in equipment installation, troubleshooting and repair. The position installs, replaces, and removes electrical motors, makes adjustments on AC frequency or DC motor controls, light fixtures, drives, PLC, HMI and makes the appropriate connections and disconnections for electrical and/or electronically controlled power supplies, valves, test equipment, and 480V 3phase and lower industrial control systems. Additionally, the Electrician makes entries in log book regarding problems, changes made, update prints and job status and assists in equipment maximization and modernization.  Must also have basic mechanical knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components and machines.

What you will need:  High School diploma. Must be able to know electrical code, read blueprints, manuals, schematics and diagrams. Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment working with hand / power tools. Knowledge of AC frequencies and DC motors. Experience with electrical wiring and circuits. Working knowledge of industrial process controls and instrumentation. Working knowledge of PLC’s including installation, programming and troubleshooting.
