Atlanta, Georgia – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing, multi-billion dollar manufacturing client. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Photometrics Lab Technician, just east of Atlanta.
What you will do: The Photometrics Lab Technician is responsible for photometric, thermal, electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of products required for third party safety certification, ensuring products meet internal and external specification. The role’s testing is based on an adaptation of generic certification body test method to the specific product and includes set-up, testing, reporting and interpretation of results to product groups. The role maintains lab space to meet 5S goals, adapts/modifies to improve testing performance, and shares accountability within department to fulfill lean initiatives. Additionally, the Photometrics Lab Technician uses lean tools and KPI measures to maintain a consistent flow through the lab, while also identifying areas/activities in need of improvement.
What you will need: Associate’ s Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Technical Degree. Experience with watts, amps, volts, wiring, and power analyzers. Knowledge of the testing associated with safety standards such as UL standards. Experience with photometrics. Background in electrical, electronic and illumination engineering desirable.
