Permitting Expeditor

Wake Forest, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com    is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Permitting Expeditor.

What you will do: The Permitting Expeditor develops and maintains positive relationships with building departments and officials within those departments as the liaison between company and building department. The role understands local building codes as they pertain to company products, represents the company in hearings with planning departments with variance applications, and reviews, submits, and retrieves permit related documentation for the company to planning and building departments. The position ensures the placement of the building follows set back regulations, tracks permit progress through planning and building departments, and provides timely and accurate updates. Additionally, the Permitting Expeditor obtains permit and documentation, distributes and reviews documentation with sales and management, assists management in meeting building officials on site, and meets the needs of the customer; recognizing special needs and recommending appropriate upsells.

What you will need: Current experience in construction and environmental permitting. Experience in manufactured control houses is a plus.
