Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Systems Architect.

What you will do: The Systems Architect analyzes new customer requirements sets against core system requirements, develops core system architecture to meet emerging system requirements, and tailors the core for a customer-specific program, flowing-down requirements to sub-system design teams. The position leads electronic, motor, sensor and software sub-system design teams in the US and abroad, to implement the flown-down requirements, while also supporting the integration and test of prototype systems, engineered to company requirements. The role supports the resolution of performance and reliability issues at vehicle and system-levels, supports DFMEA and other safety analyses at system-level, and ensures continuity at the sub-system level, while also evaluating product change requests from internal and external sources.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. An understanding of the systems engineering discipline. Current experience in a systems engineering role. Knowledge of electronics, motors, sensors and software operation. Experience of requirements management tools (eg DOORS), and modeling languages (eg SysML). Knowledge of design standards (eg ISO26262) and tools (DFMEA, FTA etc) for safety critical systems. Experience with data logging (eg CANape) and data analysis tools (eg Matlab).
