Charlotte, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international manufacturing firm to highlight a strong Operations Manager to lead their new greenfield facility in Charlotte, NC.
What you will do: The Operations Manager is responsible for building up and managing a production facility (greenfield) that will focus on additive manufacturing. The role implements state of the art operations followed by continuous operational development, development of a footprint strategy, and standardization of operational procedure. The position drives and ensures global alignment and continuous improvement of service delivery and customer service, while also being responsible for recruiting, hiring and maintaining a top performing staff. Additionally, the Operations Manager develops customer contacts.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering. Additive Manufacturing or CNC machining operational leadership experience in a service bureau, OEM facility or Tier 1 Supplier. Strong knowledge of traditional manufacturing processes and advanced structural metals processing. Experience in managing a production line in an international company with a technical background (AM, thermal spray or heat treatment, tooling industry or automotive/automotive supplier industry). Experience in Additive Manufacturing production services considered a strong plus. Experience with Project Management processes, acted as Project Manager for major projects (setup of new AM, thermal spray centers or greenfield projects preferred). Experience with complex projects. Experience managing compliance and regulations topics. Experience with HSE.
