Operations Manager

Germantown, Wisconsin – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a world leader manufacturing company. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Operations Manager.

What you will do: The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects and functions of production operations from raw material reception through finished good shipment. The role supports Plant Manager in all business aspects, ensures/enhances a people focused environment, and manages Production Supervisors, while also supporting the development of direct reports via Personal Development Plans (PDPs), reviews and feedback. The position supports employee involvement and related activities, improves working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost), and develops departmental and project budgets along with work schedules. Additionally, the Operations Manager manages departmental performance, facilitates LEAN and continuous improvement activities in all aspects of manufacturing, and manages employee relations by administering and facilitating company policies or procedures.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management. Experience in powdered metallurgy (PM). Knowledge of PM manufacturing processes, including compacting, sintering and sizing. Supervisory experience. Sound understanding of product flow from receipt of raw material to finished goods. Ability to travel up to 25%.
