Benton Harbor, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international manufacturer. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Motor Control Software Project Engineer.
What you will do: The Motor Control Software Project Engineer improves/maintains field-oriented and direct torque control algorithms embedded in our products globally. The role develops, maintains, and improves motor control software architecture to ensure fast and efficient execution of motor control projects, while also translating technical/sub-system attribute targets into module/components targets. The position plans motor control activities aligned with project need and timing, works with motor and platform engineers to drive appropriate tradeoffs to deliver subsystem level attribute targets, and uses appropriate tools and test methods to ensure fully functional and robust motor control software prior to integration into platforms. Additionally, the Motor Control Software Project Engineer creates modules/libraries and facilitates reuse of knowledge globally.
What you will need: BS in Electrical Engineering. Experience in embedded C programming developing and integrating motor control algorithms for controlled induction motors and permanent magnet motors. Proficiency in embedded C programming and debugging tools. Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink tools and familiarity with SIL, MIL, PIL, HIL methodologies, FMEA, requirements management, project management, problem-solving methodologies and tools.
