Metallurgy Engineer

Strongsville, Ohio  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a global Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Metallurgist.

What you will do: The Metallurgist is responsible for administering and coordinating the testing activities to analyze welded product and raw materials to confirm fitness for use. The role administers, coordinates, and analyzes the testing (physical properties) and microstructure evaluation of welds and raw materials, provides engineering assistance to the welding operations including tests, analysis and design of experiment (DOE), and coordinates gauge calibration activities. The position communicates/coordinates claims with suppliers relating to raw material concerns, supports successful launch of all new programs, and supports the manufacturing strategy and footprint by plant.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Metallurgy or Engineering. Current experience in metallurgy. Quality experience. American Society for Quality certifications (CQE, CQA, CQM, or CMI and CQT) preferred.
