Medical Product Portfolio Manager

Hempstead, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Product Manager – Medical Products.

What you will do: The Product Manager – Medical Products translates input from customers and sales related to short, mid and long-term market opportunities or competitive gaps into product roadmaps, prioritizes defined R&D projects based on financial payback and risk analysis, and develops a clear plan for validation of the products at key customers, supporting the launch plan and its execution. The position provides sales/marketing support by defining the value proposition for each product, trains sales and strategic marketing in regards to product offerings, and supports the project leader in all phases of the innovation process, acting as overall program owner for the projects related to its product portfolio. The role is responsible for the business site within the innovation process, continuously analyzes the IP landscape and the competitor offerings in the area of responsibility, and visits with sales to customers to assure first-hand technical information and conflict resolution. Additionally, the Product Manager – Medical Products analyzes the sales of its products and concludes actions based on this to support Sales in defending or expanding market share, and provides life-cycle management for the product lines linked to the product portfolio.

What you will need: Master’s degree in engineering or business. Current experience in product management. Deep knowledge of titanium powder applications and coating materials used in the Medical/Bio-Medical industry. Knowledge of basic product Marketing and sales tools. Business Development experience.
