Medical Device Lead Hardware Engineer

Dallas, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery movementsearch.com  is working with a growing “start up” division of a multi-national healthcare communications company. They are currently building out a team in Irving, TX to develop a cutting edge platform for in-hospital communications.

What you will do: The Sr. Hardware Engineering Lead is responsible for the Hardware Engineering function within our Monitoring Platforms business.   The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with superior people leadership skills, proficiency in quality management systems, functional management experience & business planning expertise.  This role will drive hardware planning and multi-generational product/platform roadmap definition and execution.  Lead hardware engineering teams through the product development lifecycle while meeting quality, regulatory compliance, cost and business targets. Partner with engineering managers, program managers, and product managers to ensure the success of the Monitoring Solutions engineering development programs.  Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality.

What you will need:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering and current hardware engineering leadership experience with a medical device company.  Strong knowledge of Analog, Digital & Real Time Design and experience with the following subsystems preferred:  Audio, CAN, Ethernet, Switching Power Supplies.  Demonstrated engineering knowledge, project management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle.  You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without work sponsorship at the time of hire. Product, clinical and technology knowledge of monitoring related clinical applications and workflow.  Previous experience in a regulated medical device company.  Demonstrated knowledge of FDA design controls requirements.
