Greensboro, North Carolina – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Mechanical Systems Engineer.
What you will do: The Mechanical Systems Engineer reviews supplier specifications and technical data, writes RFQ (request for quote) documents, and manages supplier submittals. The position develops product design specifications and integration, reviews existing designs for compliance with standards, and peer reviews/approves drafting output prior to release for production. The role attends pre-ship meetings, designs for manufacturability, reliability, and field maintainability, and identifies/executes projects that reduce the overall cost to manufacture, install, and operate.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in mechanical engineering. Proficient with 3-D CAD software, preferably AutoCad Inventor. Generator or other reciprocating engine packaging experience, working understanding of IBC, NFPA, ISO and other power generation building/construction/installation codes, and experience with UL (Underwriters Laboratory) listings and classifications preferred.
