Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with an international supplier of raw materials and electronics to the manufacturing industry. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Technical Specialist – Battery Management Systems.

What you will do: The Technical Specialist – Battery Management Systems develops/executes pack/module/thermal design/development for battery systems through leading technical decision and direction, while also assisting in developing proposals for new RFI/RFQs (request for information/request for quote). The position leads design of pack/module/thermal of battery system to maintain project-level development timing, develops designs to ensure serviceability, manufacturability and other performance attributes for battery packs and modules, and provides regular status reports to management and team members. The role leads technical discussions and decisions with battery components suppliers, while also assisting in developing a technology roadmap and best practices plan.

What you will need: Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Experience in automotive product development. Experience as a technical expert. Experience with CAD tools (Unigraphics or CATIA) and part release process. Experience with automotive systems design, packaging and assembly requirements. Experience with quality/reliability disciplines (FMEA, 8D & APQP) and development process (PLM or PDM). Experience with battery systems, high-voltage (DC) systems or high-current systems is desirable.
