Mechanical Engineer – Driveline

San Francisco, California – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a national, transmission and driveline manufacturer. Due to their most recent growth, they have opened a position for a Mechanical Engineer – Driveline in Alameda.

What you will do: The Mechanical Engineer – Drivetrain develops and deploys new drivetrain concepts and improvements, evaluates drivetrain performance through simulation, and designs an effective test and evaluation program. The role documents/maintains the design, takes responsibility for all aspects of drivetrain design, and provides vehicle testing. Overall, the position is responsible for design in automotive transmission, gears, bearings, hydraulic control systems, and electric motors.

What you will need: BS in Engineering. Solid understanding of vehicle drivetrains. Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling. Understanding of hydraulic systems. Experience with assembly design. Gear design experience. Proficiency with FEA analysis.
