Mechanical Engineer

Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a global tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for a Mechanical Engineer.

What you will do: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for analysis, recommendation, and implementation of customer requirements into low cost, high robust designs for steering column control modules including multi-function stalk switches, clocksprings, steering angle sensors, etc. The role is additionally responsible for supervision of requirements vs. capability analysis, DFMEAs, DVP&R’s, 3D CAD, 2D Drawings and worst case analysis stack-ups. The position interfaces directly with the customers while also working as a member of a multi-discipline design team working with software and hardware design activities as well as interfacing with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, test engineering, quality, and sales. Further tasks of the Mechanical Engineer include generating/supervising bills of material (BOMs), CAD and drawings, and coordinating build and validation tests.

What you will need: Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 10+ years in manufacturing and current experience in mechanical engineering. Current experience in 3D CAD.
