Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a national tier one supplier of components to the automotive industry. Due to the recent growth of the company, they have opened a position for a Materials Technician.

What you will do: The Materials Technician prepares samples and take measurements per F197/F421 as required for material investigations. The position uses microscopes (light optical, stereo, Keyence and SEM) and image analysis system as necessary, while also doing environmental reports. The role maintains the laboratory, assists in completing audits, and follwos all safety protocols, reporting any issues. Additionally, the Materials Technician contributes to continual improvement activities, responds to testing needs during off hours, and occasionally travels to offsite locations

What you will need: Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school. Current experience in a mnaufacturing environment in a technician role. Current experience and/or training in metallurgical practices or materials engineering.
