Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth in the company, they have opened a position for a Material Supervisor.
What you will do: The Material Supervisor is responsible ensuring all material handling disciplines are in place and enforced. The role supervises material handling personnel and drives conformance/accountability throughout Supply Chain, while also creating a comprehensive 5s plan and material storage for 3 plant operation. The position supervises all cycle counts and physical inventory activities, drives corrective actions, resolves inventory discrepancies for all material and containers, and supervise counts and the weighing of incoming/outgoing material from plant to plant and outside processors/suppliers. Additionally, the Material Supervisor leads efforts to organize visual inventory systems on the shop floor, assists schedulers in establishing min-max levels and Kan Ban where feasible, and directs label changes and repack activities as needed.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Detailed understanding and experience working with MRP systems. Document control experience. Previous experience in material management and inventory control. Experience in repetitive, just-in-time manufacturing.
