Materials Process Engineer - Titanium

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Titanium Process Engineer.

What you will do: The Titanium Process Engineer evaluates, develops, and implements titanium powder manufacturing and processing routes. The role improves the correlation between process parameters and powder characteristics by expanding process knowledge base for spherical titanium alloy powders, enhances the titanium powder yield by way of re-designing spheriodization equipment, and explores new alloy powder manufacturing technologies. The position transfers technology from pilot equipment to manufacturing, participates/assists in production equipment troubleshooting, generate engineering reports, status reviews, and presentations, and analyzes root causes, non-conformances, and complaints. Additionally, the Titanium Process Engineer maintains communication with vendors and improvement activities, monitors material performance, evaluates material deterioration, analyzes failure data and laboratory test results, and creates charge calculations according to product specifications.

What you will need: B.S. in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Engineering. Current experience in process engineering. Lean manufacturing knowledge. Metallurgical or titanium materials experience. Knowledge of ISO and AS quality requirements.
