Materials Planner-Manufacturing

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a growing Tier One automotive supplier. Due to the company’s recent growth, they have newly opened position for a Materials Planner.

What you will do:  The Materials Planner ensures the development and creation of robust project planning, execution sequencing, and delivery processes allowing goods and services to be available to support the goals, objectives, and requirements of the department, company, and customer in a timely, efficient, and time-saving manner. The role plans, prioritizes, and manages the sequence of projects into execution, network management of multiple projects, and the creation of master delivery schedules (Concerto) to meet the requirements of production/assembly, sales/spare parts, and logistics departments for material needs/availability prior to releasing planned orders into production, while also maintaining and monitoring inventory level development. The position promotes a positive image contributing to improving the company and the relationships with the supply base, assists and supports other departments for cost analysis and purchasing needs/problems as requested, and assists the Purchasing Manager when required on a daily basis with special projects and assignments. Additionally, the Materials Planner coordinates engineering release/change material dates and date changes and supports project managers and cost center managers as a technical expert.

What you will need: Experience with supply chain. Current experience in materials planner within a manufacturing environment. Experience in a tier one plant.
