Materials Manager - Automotive

Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Materials Manager, southwest of Birmingham.

What you will do: The Materials Manager is responsible for full customer satisfaction and on time delivery in a cost-effective manner as well as complying with all company standards including quality policies and procedural protocols. The role is also responsible for the strategic materials management planning and establishing, implementing, and effectively operating a Purchase System to help track supplier quality related issues. The position is tasked with optimally coordinating department resources, overseeing maintenance issues related to the Materials department, and supervising the processing and shipping of customer orders.  Additionally, the Materials Manager is responsible for the portion of the Quality Operating System (QOS) related to the Materials Department.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Operations and current experience in Materials Management. SAP experience. Experience with shipping, scheduling, and inventory management.
