Jackson, Tennessee – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Materials Manager.
What you will do: The Materials Manager directs the maintenance of a perpetual inventory of raw materials, components and finished goods stored in the facility. The role directs scheduling of machines and work stations to maximize the productivity of personnel and machines, compares future production requirements against available capacity and recommend action to be taken, and ensures that all goods and services are purchased in accordance with company purchasing procedures and policies. The position controls the fiscal expense budget of the materials department, supports all programs related to goals of cash management and inventory reduction, and prepares monthly reports and data. Additionally, the Materials Manager maintains warehouse equipment (i.e., forklifts, racks, docks, and dock doors), ensures timeliness and accuracy in all aspects of shipping, and manages supervisors who supervise team members in scheduling, planning, procurement, shipping, receiving and data entry.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Current experience in materials management. Experience with MRP, MDS and ERP systems (Oracle).
