Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a Material Process Engineer – Alloys.
What you will do: The Material Process Engineer – Alloys improves production processes with regards to safety, health, environmental, quality, and productivity while minimizing wastes and costs. The role designs/directs the testing or control of processing procedures, reviews, evaluates and recommends materials, instruments, and equipment, and analyzes root causes, non-conformances, and complaints, while also supporting site initiatives to reduce inventory, costs and lead time. The position maintains communication with vendors and improvement activities, provides technical training to process operators, monitors material performance and evaluates material deterioration. Additionally, the Material Process Engineer – Alloys conducts/supervises tests on raw materials or finished products, evaluates technical specifications and economic factors, supervises production and testing processes under specific circumstances, and create recipes for existing and new products, modifying recipes based on materials.
What you will need: B.S. in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in process engineering. Lean manufacturing knowledge. Metallurgical experience with alloys.
