Material Planner

Wixom, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Our client is a major Tier One for German automotive.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Material Planner.

What you will do: The Material Planner manages inventory to the lowest level without negatively impacting production, manages customer demand and ensures the integrity of the supplier releases. The role reviews the SAP tools to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers and to customers, maintains a consistent flow of materials to support the production schedule, and monitors revision levels, ensuring coordinated and running changes are managed properly to avoid obsolescence. The position manages the premium freight and chargeback system, manages the supplier rating system, and reviews daily system generated reports for maintaining inventory accuracy. Additionally, the Material Planner supports/promotes full SAP and customer system utilization, ensures BOM accuracy, and coordinates activities in support of flawless product launch.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience as a material planner in the automotive industry. Experience in planning and scheduling. APICS certification preferred. Experience with ERP.
