Port Huron, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a national supplier of the tier-one automotive industry. Due to recent growth, the company has recently opened a position for a Material Control Coordinator.
What you will do: The Material Control Coordinator monitors customer web sites and update delivery requirements (Chrysler, Ford, GM, Covisint, DDL), verifies releases on customer websites, watch for shortages and alerts, and verifies Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) were sent and processed. The role confirms releases are posted in ERP software for the day, reviews daily releases and update ship schedule(s), reviews and responds to ship discrepancies, and schedules trucks/small package pickup for shipments. The position monitors service part requirements and new model launches, ensures labels are available at appropriate times and are applied correctly, and verifies incoming dunnage and report any shortage to customers and logistics. Additionally, the Material Control Coordinator monitors service part requirements and new model launch on website for GMCCA, prepares weekly ship schedule for lead hands and material handlers, and provides service part requirements for the week to packers.
What you will need: Current experience in material control. Experience with customer service and shipping/receiving. Current experience in an office environment.
